Architect in Training [and scientist at heart], finished a Master’s Degree in Environment and Bioclimatic Architecture at the Technical University of Madrid, Spain [ETSAM]. García La Torre graduated from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in 2009. She has worked with several Architectural firms since 2006 as an apprentice and architectural assistant and Project Architect I.

Currently a Researcher/Lecturer in the School of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. She Co-directs a Research and Design Studio called Biotectónica with Prof. Wilfredo Mendez.

Recently granted PUCPR Research SEEDS Funds to continue developing her research on BIOCLIMATIC SKINS: Rethinking the Building Envelope Through Thermoregulation Strategies and Technics of Living Organisms.
